About the Opportunity/Requirements:     compress

As the Chemist III/ Senior QC Analyst, you will perform advanced and routine chemical analysis of developmental products (Pharmaceutical Analysis), raw materials, in-process and finished products using a range of forms of chemistry, instrumentation and test methodologies. Be able to provide a high level of input for method development, validation and development of other procedures. You must evaluate or validate new methodologies to improve the quality of data or to reduce testing costs. This position will assume a leadership role in all laboratory operation, providing Managerial coverage during absences. Serve as a QC representative on Project/Product Management teams. The incumbent will supervise one or more direct reports.

Job Requirements:
• Analyze pharmaceutical dosage forms using HPLC, dissolution testing, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry.
• Must be able to provide an advanced level of analytical support for raw materials, pharmaceutical analysis, in-process, and finished product testing (release and stability) for conformance to specifications/acceptance criteria.
• Performing advanced method development, qualification and testing to support process validations, analytical methods transfer, method changes, new materials and other special projects will be necessary
• Perform data generation/interpretation.
• Provide input for writing and revising laboratory procedures.
• Apply advanced skills in scientific techniques and principles, problem solving, organization of work and cost savings.
• Comply with company Procedural Guidelines, laboratory procedures, and safety procedures.
• Be willing to provide guidance and training to laboratory employees.
• Contribute to a team-oriented, continuous improvement quality process.
• Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks including but not limited to; organization and cleaning of work areas, checking for expired reagents, standards, solutions, chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Serve as a delegate for the incumbent’s QC Manager.

Education and Experience:
• BS + 6 years pharmaceutical laboratory experience (or MS +4 years), at least 4 years (or 2 with MS) of which in R&D
