Enzon Pharmceuticals to Return Rights to ATG-Fresenius S

As part of a shift in research concentration to the cancer segment, Enzon Pharmaceuticals today announced that it is returning its rights to ATG-Fresenius S, an antibody preparation used to prevent organ-t
ransplant rejection, to Fresenius Biotech, a subsidiary of the German health care company Fresenius AG.
On November 28, 2005, Enzon, a Bridgewater biopharmaceutical company, and Micromet, another German company, agreed to terminate a joint effort to identify and develop antibody-based therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Enzon (Nasdaq: ENZN) shares fell $0.03 to $7.39 in early trading.
